Local Compositions and Thermodynamics of Polar/non-polar Mixtures
نویسنده
چکیده
Results of computer simulations are presented for the thermodynamic properties of mixing and the local compositions for mixtures of Stockmayer and Lennard-Jones fluids with varying concentrations and dipole strengths The results show a strong asymmetry with respect to the concentration which is attributed to the influence of the orientation dependence of the dipoledipole interaction and explained in terms of a "frustration" effect

متن کاملSeparation of Aromatic and Alcoholic Mixtures using Novel MWCNT-Silica Gel Nanocomposite as an Adsorbent in Gas Chromatography
The separations of alcohols with hydrophilic and hydrophobic parts, and the separation of aromatic mixtures, are extremely important processes in gas and petroleum industries. Choosing an adsorbent for performing this separation is the most important part of the process. Silica gel is used as an adsorbent is various techniques such as pressure swing adsorption (PSA) and gas and liquid chromatog...

متن کاملThermodynamic Properties of Polar Substances: Enthalpy of Hydrocarbon- Alcohol Systems
The industrial interest in petroleum compounds has generated large amounts of data for both pure components and mixtures of hydrocarbons. These data and the general similarity in molecular structure of the components have made it possible to develop reasonably precise methods for predicting thermodynamic properties of hydrocarbons over a wide range of conditions. When chemically dissimilar mixt...
